SPL FUTURA Spunlace Machine

The SPL FUTURA Spunlace Machine, developed in cooperation between AUTEFA Solutions and ZFJ, is a high-performance hydroentanglement system for the efficient and uniform bonding of nonwoven webs with high-pressure water jets. The machine combines advanced Spunlace technology with AUTEFA Solutions process and full-line expertise and can be integrated into both direct and crosslapped Spunlace production lines.

SPL FUTURA combines pre-wetting, hydroentanglement and dewatering in a compact and flexible machine concept. An integrated pre-wetting injector ensures uniform humidification of the unbonded web before the hydroentanglement process. Precisely controlled high-pressure water jets then entangle the fibers and create a homogeneous and stable nonwoven structure.

The machine concept is designed for reliable production, high product quality and efficient process water management. Depending on the line configuration and product requirements, SPL FUTURA can process a wide range of fibers and fiber blends for wipes, hygiene, medical and technical Spunlace applications.

AUTEFA Solutions SPL JetHeads are designed to provide a high level of pressure uniformity across the complete water curtain. This precise pressure distribution supports consistent and homogeneous fiber entanglement across the working width and contributes to reproducible product quality.

Adjustable suction slots efficiently remove process water from the web and transfer it to the filtration system. The patented V-slot flex design minimizes the gap between the drum and the suction slot, reducing false air and lowering energy consumption of the suction system compared with conventional suction slot designs.

The cantilevered design of SPL FUTURA provides easy access to key machine components and enables fast exchange of feeding and delivery belts, drum shells and SPL Jet strips. This machine concept supports efficient maintenance and helps reduce production downtime.

An automatic SPL Jet strip cleaning system combines high-pressure water cleaning with subsequent air drying. The system supports reliable operation of the JetHeads and helps maintain consistent hydroentanglement performance over long production periods.
