July 2021, our trip to Austria
In contrast to series machines, special machines are designed and manufactured individually according to customer requirements. This is also the case at AUTEFA Solutions, we manufacture special machines at our worldwide locations, which then get assembled and commissioned at customer's site.
As apprentices at AUTEFA Solutions (we are mechatronics technicians and industrial clerks) we have the opportunity to see modules and individual components of our machines during production. In our day-to-day business, however, we rarely have the opportunity to see our machines and systems in operation at full production capacity. As mechatronics trainees, we assemble parts and modules of the machines. As industrial clerks, we come into indirect contact with our machines in purchasing, in the shipping or in the service department. It is important for our trainers to show us complete machines and plants.
In July 2021, we were all together, with our trainers, in Austria for 2 days.
We travelled from Friedberg to Linz, to our subsidiary AUTEFA Solutions Austria. There is the big Nonwovens Competence Centre where mostly tests are carried out for customers. We had the opportunity to visit all 4 nonwovens lines in Linz. The machines run very fast, needle machines with up to 2500 strokes per minute.
On the newest line for hydroentanglement, also called spunlace technology, nonwovens are produced at up to 300 m/min. The new V-jet injector developed by AUTEFA saves energy in the production of nonwovens which is very important.
From Linz we went on to Krems. We had the chance to visit our customer, the Toifl company. The winery A&M Toifl is a renowned family business. AUTEFA supplied the packer, the palletizer and the sweep-off depalettizer for the dry part. Our company had overall responsibility for the complete line project here. We would like to thank Mr. Toifl in particular, who took so much time for us and explained everything. We saw the complete process flow in a winery and learned what our machines can do and what they were designed for.
It was a fantastic trip with our trainers, we experienced a lot and also got to know each other better.
