Production Line HiPerMask

AUTEFA Solutions, as a leading supplier of nonwoven machines and automation solutions, has developed HiPerMask, a fully automated production line for the manufacture of respirator masks. HiPerMask produces respirator masks in accordance with the EU FFP2 and FFP3 standards, as well as the US N95 and N98 standards. The mechanical and electrical design, production and assembly and software programming take place in Friedberg, Bavaria and Frauenfeld, Switzerland. The first machines were put into operation in Germany and Switzerland in May 2020. We offer a full service for production start-up, consumables procurement and certification support. HiPerMask - the production line for your FFP2/FFP3 mask production

The HiPerMask production line consists of a material feed, nose clip feed and positioning, ultrasonic welding units, ear-loop or head-loop stations, mask folding, punching and dispensing of the masks into a collection container.

The machine consists of the following individual units

  • unwinder with six stations ensures a warp-free synchronized material feed
  • nose clip unit providing accurate feeding of the nose clip
  • mask welding with EMERSON Branson ultrasonic assembly technology
  • printer unit for affixing labeling and logo, e.g. your company logo
  • mask strip welding - optionally ear-loop or head-loop stations with tape length adjustment
  • mask folding unit equipped with automatic centering by sight, sensors and linear units 
  • shaping and welding of the protective mask contour for different mask sizes and protective mask shapes are available here

Quality control system

AUTEFA Solutions offers a quality control system for FFP2 mask machines. A continuous production control and sorting out of masks with quality defects maximize the quality output. A quality control system for all FFP mask machines.

  • 3 camera systems for quality assurance
  • Station 1 with incident and transmitted light camera
  • Station 2 with 2 cameras for checking the left and right side of the machine
  • Detection of quality defects such as faulty print image, missing nose bridges or ear band welding points
  • Sorting out of non-A quality

Mask production- AUTEFA Solutions FFP2 masks

At our company site in Friedberg, Germany, we have been producing certified FFP2 masks since May 2021. With our production line HiPerMask we produce up to 40 masks per minute. We are using high-quality nonwovens materials which have an excellent filtration effect combined with low breathing resistance.

The production of certified high-quality FFP2 masks for our internal use enables us additionally:

  • to gain a high level of expertise regarding certification, with which we specifically support our customers
  • a constant further development of our HiPerMask mask machine in terms of increased production capacities
  • the development of a quality assurance with highly efficient camera systems 
  • the development of an advanced automatic centering for precise mask folding
  • the development of our head-loop ultrasonic welding station
