Design Engineer with Project Management Responsibility (m/f/d)

The business areas at our Friedberg location include nonwoven technology, fiber press technology, and automation technology.

To strengthen our Business Unit Automation, we are looking for a Design Engineer with Project Management Responsibility (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

Your Responsibilities

  • Development and design of plant engineering and automation components
  • Testing and optimization of existing and new system components
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and guidelines
  • Support in product maintenance activities
  • Research and coordination of external suppliers
  • Technical support for plant assembly, commissioning, documentation, as well as service and maintenance activities

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in engineering or a comparable qualification (e.g. certified industrial technician)
  • Ideally, initial professional experience in machine design and project management
  • Confident handling of 3D CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • Careful, structured, and reliable working style combined with a high degree of flexibility
